The line AB has equation 3x + 5y = 7, find; a) the gradient of AB b) the x-axis and y-axis intercepts c) sketch the graph

a) Rearrange equation into the form y = mx + c where m is the gradient and c is the y-axis intercept. Gradient AB = -3/5. b) The y-intercept is c which = 7/5. To find x-axis intercept we set y=0 and rearrange the equation to get x = 7/3.

How do I integrate by substitution?

Use logarithms to solve the equation 2^(5x) = 3^(2x+1) , giving the answer correct to 3 significant figures

The equation of a curve is xy^2= x^2 +1. Find dx/dy in terms of x and y, and hence find the coordinates of the stationary points on the curve.

Integrate x*(5e^x)
