How would I go about drawing a graph if i had no idea how to start?

Firstly you could work out the x intercept by putting y=0 in to the function of the graph and then similarly find out the y intercept by putting x=0 into the function. After this you could find the turning points of the graph by working out the derivative of the function and making it equal to 0. You could also find out if there are any asymptotes of the graph by seeing if the function is undefined at any point. If you are still stuck you could try putting in different x values into the function to find some co ordinates.
