Radical feminists state that family life reflects patriarchy and would therefore argue the following two ways in which women are oppressed/exploited by men within their families.

Firstly, being subjected to domestic violence and secondly, expecting women to have a 'double burden' which consists of housework as well as paid work, outside the home.
