For a vehicule with a constant acceleration (5 m/s^2) starting at rest, how long would it take to travel 1 km?

as the acceleration is constant, to travel 1km=1000m, we use 1000 m =(1/2) (5 m/s^2)t^2, so t=sqrt(21000/5)=20 seconds
