What should I do if and when I am stuck on the comprehension section?

Firstly, it is important not to get too worried as the answers will always be in the text. By jotting down a few notes for every three to four sentences whilst you read the text, you can easily look back and check for answers. The questions almost always appear in chronological order so if the question you are stuck on is the first one, chances are the answer can be found in the first section of the text.

If there are a few words and phrases you do not understand, the most useful way of approaching this is to read around them. If you understand and can translate the sentences before and after the section you are unsure of, then you can piece together the nature of the words and phrases you are stuck on. When it comes to comprehensions, you can never practice enough and by adopting these techniques, you should be able to get a better understanding of the text and what the questions are asking from you.
