(x+2)(x-3)

Multiply the first term in the first bracket, so that would be x, with the second bracket. step one: x(x-3) is identical to: x^2 - 3x

We can now multiply the second number in the first bracket, which would be 2, with the second bracket. step two: 2(x-3) is identical to: 2x -6

We now have four terms in total: x^2 -3x + 2x - 6 With the x terms grouped up, step three: x^2 -x - 6 as the identical expression

Express 3cos(x)+4sin(x) in the form Rsin(x+y) where you should explicitly determine R and y.

I don't understand why the function "f(x)=x^2 for all real values of x" has no inverse. Isn't sqrt(x) the inverse?

Show that the integral of tan(x) is ln|sec(x)| + C where C is a constant.

Use integration to find the exact value of [integral of] (9-cos^2(4x)) dx
