Simplify the equation below:

2p+ 3p + p2

Firstly, look for the terms that are alike. In this case, it's p2.

When you add two squared terms together, you don't change the squared number: you just change the big number in front of p.

2p+ 1p2 = 3p2

So the answer is 3p+ 3p.
