Work out the value of 2a^2 + b^3 when a = 5 and b = –3

To work out the values you need to sub in a and b into the equation, giving you: 2(5)2 + (-3)3 From this we use the rules of BODMAS to first complete the orders and obtain: 2*25 + (-27). Again using BODMAS we multiply 2 by 25: 50 + (-27). Lastly we subtract 27 from 50 as a + and negative together gives a negative: 50 - 27 = 23.

Differentiate the following: 2x^2 + 3x -2

Solve ((x+2)/3x) + ((x-2)/2x) = 3

Solve by factorisation: 2(x^2) - 5x - 12 = 0

How do you differentiate? And how is integration related to it?
