What is the angular speed of a car wheel of diameter 0.400m when the speed of the car is 108km/h?

A) 75 rad/s      B) 150 rad/s      C) 270 rad/s      D) 540 rad/s       Identify equation as w=v/r      Diameter = 0.4m  Radius  = half the diameter = 0.2m       Velocity needs to be in m/s so 108km/h = 108000m/h = 30m/s (divide by 60 twice).       Angular velocity = v/r = 30/0.2 = 150 therefore B is the answer.

How would you calculate the moment of a Force on a rigid object?

An ideal gas at a temperature of 22 C is trapped in a metal cylinder of volume 0.2 m^3 at a pressure of 1.6x10^6 Pa. The gas has a molar mass of 4.3 x 10^(-2) kg mol^(-1). Calculate the density of the gas in the cylinder.

Why do gravitational fields around point masses obey an inverse square law?

A car of mass 800 kg is accelerated horizontally by constant net force of 1920 N for 9 s. It then breaks for 2 s, but drives off a 5 m high cliff. If μ = 0.85, what is the total horizontal distance travelled by car and its velocity? Ignore air resistance.
