Find the mean, median, mode and range of this data: 2, 5,6,12,5

To find the mean you must add all of the numbers together (2+5+6+12+5) and divide by how many numbers you have in your data set (5). Mean = 30 : 5 = 6

To find the median you must first order your numbers from smallest to largest (2,5,5,6,12). Once you have ordered your numbers the median is the middle number. The median is 5.

The mode is the most common number. The most common number in our data is 5.

Range = largest number - the smallest number. Range = 12 - 2 = 10
