The most important thing with a personal statement is to be clear and concise. Begin by introducing yourself and your interests (related to the course you are applying for).
After that, move onto the main body of text where you talk about your current subjects. To keep your PS as relevant as possible, try to pick out skills you have developed in one subject area that can be applied to the university course. That way you can keep your word count down by only including relevant and necessary information.
The last section of your PS should talk about your extracurricular activities and non-academic pursuits. Don't spend too long on this though, and again make it relevant to your course!!
Sign off by saying why you would be well suited to that university and the course.
