For the equation y=2x+7, what is the gradient and the y intercept?

For all straight line equations as the one above, the equation is y=mx+c where: m is the gradient, c is the y-intercept. Thus from the arrangement of the given equation, gradient = 2 and y-intercept = 7

Hannah's sweet problem (Edexcel 2015): There are n sweets, 6 are orange, rest of the sweets are yellow. She takes 2 sweets randomly without replacing them and the probability that 2 orange sweets are chosen is 1/3. Show that n^2-n-90 = 0.

2x + y = 10 and 4y - 5x = 1, solve for x and y.

Solve these simultaneous equations: 2x + y = 7, and 3x - y = 8. Do so by 1) Eliminating an Unknown and 2) Substitution.

Solve the simultaneous equations: 3x+7y=18 and x+2y=5
