How do you conjugate an -AR ending verb in the preterite tense?

Regular -AR verbs are conjugated by finding the stem (removing the AR ending) and adding on the appropriate endings for each person, listed here: Yo - É, Tu - ASTE, El - Ó, Nosotros - AMOS, Vosotros - ASTEIS, ellos - ARON For example, conjugating 'hablar' (to speak) in the first person preterite, the verb would become 'hablé', (I ate), or in the 3rd person preterite, it would become 'habló'. (she ate)
