Create a revision timetable. It doesn't have to be to the hour, but make sure to write down all the topics you need to cover. For example, during my A-levels I'd do one mini topic every 2 days. - Start early. Cramming a few days before an exam will cause you to become stressed and panic, which means you are less likely to retain information. Start months early instead of weeks. - Write it down on paper. While typing out revision notes is quick, writing out your notes will mean your memory retains them more effectively. Add colour too, colour coding notes helped me during my time at school. Use a different colour highlighter for the names of theorists, dates, quotes, and statistics. - Get enough sleep, especially the night before the exam. Staying up late and cramming information will hinder your memory and concentration. - Use multiple revision techniques. This is the beauty of starting early, you can use multiple techniques to revise. I used mindmaps, writing out notes from the textbooks, and practiced essay questions.
