Simplify (x + 3)(2x + 5) - (x - 1)

Start by expanding the brackets: 2x^2 + 5x + 6x + 15 = 2x^2 +11x + 15 Combine the two parts of the equation: 2x^2 + 11x + 15 - x + 2 = 2x^2 + 10x + 17
