How do you form the future tense in French?

The future tense is formed by taking the infinitive as the stem, and adding on the appropriate ending based on the pronoun .Firstly, we take the infinitive, in this case we will use regarder- ( to watch )

We then add each ending onto the end of this :

 Je - ai

tu - as

il/elle/on - a

nous - ons

vous - ez

ils/elles - ont

When you put these together you should get:

Je regarderai - i will watch

tu regarderas - you will watch (singular)

il/elle/on regardera - he/she/one will watch

nous regarderons - we will watch

vous regarderez - you will watch (plural)

ils/elles regarderont - they will watch (plural)
