Explain the pull factors of counter-urbanisation.

Counter-urbanisation is the movement from city to rural area (centrifugal movement). Firstly, it is quieter in suburban/rural areas with less traffic, congestion and higher living standards. This is especially advantageous for couples looking to start a family where lower crime rates and cheaper land will enable them to provide a safer and more relaxed upbringing for their families. The cheaper land will allow for a larger amount of space to be purchased.
