Differentiate and factorise y = x^2(3x + 1)

Product rule:      dy/dx = uv' + u'v dy/dx = 2x(3x + 1) + x^2(3) dy/dx = 2x(3x + 1) +3x^2 dy/dx = 6x^2 + 2x + 3x^2 dy/dx = 9x^2 + 2x dy/dx = x(9x + 2)

Using the product rule, differentiate y=(2x)(e^3x)

f(x)=ln(3x+1), x>0 and g(x)=d/dx(f(x)), x>0, find expressions for f^-1 and g

Below is a question from the Edexcel Maths Core 1 textbook, Solve the equation x^2 + 8x + 10 = 0 using completing the square.

Turning points of the curve y = (9x^2 +1)/3x+2
