How would you differentiate the term 3x^3-2x^2+x-10

With differentiation we should always begin with the "times by the power and take one from the power" rule. For example, to differentiate axb --> (a x b)x(b-1)

So, to differentiate this expression we follow the step.

It can also be written as; 3x3-2x2+1x1-10

(3 x 3)x(3-1) - (2 x 2)x(2-1) + (1 x 1)x(1-1) - (10 x 0) = 9x2-4x1+1

Since there is no x term in the final term (-10) this just differentiates to zero always.
