How should I structure each paragraph within my essays?

Remeber to make your point first, ensure that the marker knows exactly what you are going to be talking about in that paragraph. Once you have made this point keep referring back to it as you write your paragraph because it is important to stay focused and not deviate fro your orginal point. Next you will need to give your evidence, this has to back up your point. For example, if you are studying Russia post-Lenin and you have suggested that Stalin was very intelligent and scheming during the leadership contest you could offer the example of him changing Bukharin's plane times so that he failed to attend meetings. Finally you need to explain how your evidence proves your point. How do Stalin's actions in this example prove his intelligence to continue the above example? How did it help him to win the leadership contest? Always return back to your original point.
