Passage: "Hola, soy Maria y voy a colegio en Madrid, la ciudad capital de España. Vivo aquí con mis padres y dos hermanos, pero somos ingleses. Me gusta tocar la guitarra."
We need to understand as much of the passage as possible to determine if the statement is true or not, so the first step is to read the few sentences and try to obtain the key information. In the first sentence, Maria tells us her name, and where she goes to school - Madrid, the capital city of Spain. In the second sentence, she tells us that she lives here, too, with her parents and brothers, but that they are English. In the third sentence, we find out that she likes to play the guitar.
Now look back at the statement we are considering. Some of the information in the passage won't be relevant to the statement.
The statement is split into two parts - both need to be true for the statement to be true, otherwise it will be false. Part 1 says that Maria is from England. When we read the passage, we identified that her whole family is English, so this is true.
Now, Part 2 needs to be true for the statement to be true, and it states that Maria now lives in Madrid. In the passage, she tells us that she goes to school in Madrid, and also lives there with her family. So Part 2 is true as well.
We can therefore say that the whole statement is 'verdad'.
