Explain one strength of the Working Memory Model (3 marks)

There is clinical evidece to support the WMM from Shallice and Warrington's case study of patient KF (1970). KF had suffred some severe brain damage resulting in his loss of short term memory abilities. However, he only had poor short term memory ability for verbal information, but could process visual information normally. This supports the existence of a separate visual and accoustic store within the short term memory which the WMM suggests.
