What is the probability that the next baby born in England will be a boy?

A baby can either be a boy or a girl, so there are only two possible outcomes. This means that the probability of the next baby being born a boy is 1 out of the 2 outcomes. This also can be written as 0.5 as the fraction 1/2 translates to 0.5 in decimals.
