How to write a good, concise essay?

There really is no definite answer to this question, because frankly each essay question is different and therfore merits a uniquely worded or structured answer. However, whether it is an environmental question, a creative writing peice, or an analysis of art, literature or cinematography there is always a necessity for clarity and concision. Grammar is key in essays as they demonstrate a grasp of the language, and therefore it is crucial that a lot of focus is payed on grammar and is double-checked before submitting the work. The word limit is a very limiting factor which tends to stress students who have lots of information bursting in their brains, however, it is paramount that they organise the information coherently and that they only include relevant information that will answer the question directly, otherwise, marks will be lost due to irrelevant waffling and going above the word limit.
