How can I understand the tense 'passé composé'/ Can you explain 'passé composé to me?

'Passé composé' is a tense of the past and is used to relate to past events. It's also used to express a complete or incomplete action. This tense can be used with two different verbs conjugated in the present, avoir (to have) and être (to be) + a past participle of the verb expressing the action. (EXAMPLE: J'ai mangé, je suis allé(e)). When using 'avoir' in passé compose, it is generally a verb of description, motion and direction. Whereas 'être' is also used for motion verbs aswell as reflexive verbs ( the 'se' form, like 'se maquiller') . avoir conjugation example: j'ai lu, tu as lu, il/elle a lu, nous avons lu, vous avez lu, ils/elles ont lu être conjugation example: je suis tombé(e), tu es tombé(e), il/elle est tombé(e), nous sommes tombé(e), vous êtes tombé(e), ils/elles sont tombé(e) - the reason for why the past participle has (e) at the end is for when referring to a female, you add the extra 'e'.  être with a reflexive verb: Je me suis habillé(e), tu t'es habillé(e), il/elle s'est habillé(e), nous nous sommes habillé(e)s, vous vous êtes habillé(e)s, ils/elles se sont habillé(e)s
