A 4 pint bottle of milk costs £1.18 A 6 pint bottle of milk costs £1.74 Which bottle of milk is the best value for money? You must show all your working.

To work out which bottle is best value for money you have to work out how much each bottle costs per pint. To do this divide the cost of each bottle by the number of pints it contains. e.g 1.18/4=0.295 1.74/6=0.290 Whichever bottle has the lowest cost per pint is the best value for money. Therefore the 6 pint bottle is better value for money because 0.29 is less that 0.295.
