When writing your personal statement, you want to show the universities that you have researched them in addition to the course you are applying for. Furthermore, you want to make it clear why you want to be studying there, why they should want you to study there, and also talk a bit about yourself including any experiences (whether work experience, or school competitions and extracurricular activities) you may have.
This leaves you with a clear outline for your statement to follow. In the first paragraph, you would introduce yourself explaining why you are applying. Secondly, you would talk about the course and why it interests you. Thirdly, you would mention your skills and why you would be a great fit for the course. Finally, you can talk about yourself to show that you are a well-rounded individual that would make a positive impact on other students at the university. You can also add a short conclusion that summarises your whole statement while also delivering a nice closing sentence that exhibits your motivation.
