What should be included in the introduction to an essay?

An introduction to any history essay that is asking you to asses or evaluate and argument or interpretation should being with your personal standpoint and argument being outlined without using the first person. Also included in the introduction should be a blue print for what is going to be included in the essay, with links to your judgement continually used. Finally it is important to use the wording of the question so that you essay has clarity, a clear direction and link to the question.
