Which conditions led to the collapse of the German war effort in the First World War ?(as is part of the Causes, Practices and Effects of War part of the HL Course)

Outline the four major reasons for the collapse of the German war effort, in a good essay each of these should take up about a paragraph each, with each paragraph following the PEA form (Point, Evidence, Analysis).

Paragraph order is not entirely important in a borader thematic question like this but following a vague chronological order helps with clarity and allows the examiner (and the person wrting the essay) to more easily follow the essay.

Four major themes are:

Collapse of Germany's allies in the months leading up to november. Ottomans, Blugarians and most importantly Austro-Hungary, led to Germnay being defenceles on all sides and facing the full force of the allied militaries.

Internal Political Strife in Germany. With mass socialist strikes, factionalist violence on the streets and possible military coup (as can be seen at Kiel), there was very little desire in Germany t maintain the war effort, cosnidering what it was doing to domestic conditions.

Allied military superioirty and new elastic defence. German military capability had been warn down by four years of war, was at the point where the recruitment age was dropping further and further, the Hindenburg Push had failed and the allies were newly invigorated to launch the 100 days offensive, along with the help of the newly arrived 300,000 troops from America and the new method of 'elastic defence' against the German blitzkreig tactics. All of this made possible by a newly created central allied command.

Economic differences between Germany and the Allies. Germany was left cut of from any trade with other countries, left them in a dire economic state, the British Naval blockade was the key reason for this and led to mass starvation in Germany. In comparison the allies made up hundreds of billions of pounds of the world economy, including the industrial strength of the US as well as the British and French Empires.

Following this patter of four or five key thematic paragraphs with an analytical point at the end and a conclusions which wraps everything together can be used to answer nearly any kind of question in the IB syllabus.
