What is the most effective way of creating a title for my essay?

Although the title is obviously very important for your final essay and creating the perfect title seems like a huge task, don’t panic! Personally, I think the best way to tackle the title is to start broad and then filter it down. Find the topic you want to write on and do plenty of research around it. Once you have some idea about what you want to focus on, come up with a basic (but still broad title) and work on filtering down the information you have gathered until you have a specific, focused and concise title. Remember; don’t take on more that you can carry! The most effective way to gain maximum marks is to show how you researched, developed and filtered down the information you gathered in order to create your final title. Your log is what gains the most marks therefore be sure to note down everything you do in terms of modifying the title so the marker can see your thought process.
