What's the difference between an antigen and an antibody?

An antigen is a substance that is introduced to the body and stimulates an immune response and the production of antibodies. Antibodies are proteins produced by cells in the body in in repsonse to the presence of a specific antigen. The antibody can then bind to the specific antigen, neutralise it, inhibit its action, or destroy it.
