Benzene has a chemical formula of C6H6, 6 carbon atoms in a ring with each bound to one hydrogen atom (aromatic hydrocarbon) - 3 covalent bonds for each carbon atom Planar regular hexagon shape with 120 degree bond angles  delocalised ring of electrons above and below the plane of the molecule, formed by p-orbitals - electrons shared by all atoms within the ring (known as aromaticity) Equal carbon-carbon bond lengths found in Benzene
