Using the quadratics formula find the two solutions to x^2 + 3x + 2 = 0.

x1 = (-b + (b2 - 4ac)1/2)/2a and x2 = (-b - (b2 - 4ac)1/2)/2a. So with the values a = 1, b = 3 and c = 2: x1 = (-3 + (32 - 8)1/2)/2 and x2 = (-3 - (32 - 8)1/2)/2, x1 = (-3 + 1)/2 = -1 and x2 = (-3 - 1)/2 = -2.
