Expand (x+2)(x-3)(x+4)^2

(x+2)(x-3)(x+4)^2 = (x^2 - x - 6)(x^2 + 8x + 16) = (x^4 + 8x^3 +16x^2 - x^3 - 8x^2 -16x - 6x^2 - 48x - 96)

= x^4 +7x^3 + 2x^2 - 64x - 96)

How do I approach simultaneous equations with 2 unknowns?

Solve the following simultaneous equations to find the values of x and y: 3y - 7x = 15 & 2y = 4x + 12

The area of square ABCD is 10 cm^2 . Show that x^2 + 6x = 1 (requires diagram which I will draw on the whiteboard).

i) Factorise x^2 – 7x + 12 ii) Solve x^2 – 7x + 12
