It is a means without ends not an ideology. Traditional Con: pragmatic. negative view of human nature therefore everyone needs to be told what to do One Nation Con: pragmatic. Disraeli's fear of 2 nations and MacMillan's "middle way" New Right: principle. Neo-lib economics and neo-con strong law and order. But some see the shift to the New Right as pragmatic due to the failure of social and economic intervention
