Within the limited 40 minute timeframe, the most important feature to include in your essay is a coherent chain of thought, usually in the form of a thesis statement. Alongside the use of a skeletal structure with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion, this will allow others to clearly understand your essay.
Remember that the LNAT is a chance to portray analytical and reasoning skills, and this needs to be reflected throughout the essay, especially within the body where you need to include arguments from differing approaches to create a dynamic interchange of ideas and create a reasoned argument. Ideally, this can be done in clear paragraphs with arguments, counter-arguments, and rebuttals. In the time frame, it is realistic that if you have two arguments, you include at least one counterargument. Rather than providing lots of arguments that are not well discussed, you are better off developing ideas clearly and balancing your ideas to convey your thesis statement.
