How would I prepare a tutee for an oral exam?

First of all, practising oral questions does not mean no writing. The first task to do is to copy down the question, look for key words and confirm what is being asked. Lot of students answer the wrong question and even with very good oral skills, they’re mark does not reflect their potential. Next, brainstorming, it is important to gather all we know about the subject, vocabulary, theory, names… The tutee can stand out by using original ideas and culture. This is the time to use the exhibition or the movie they saw the week before. Finally, the student can build an outline of the presentation with bullet points, before doing it out loud. I am here to help with grammar, pronunciation and being a native French speaker, I can provide a huge range of vocabulary. To best help the tutee, make the best progress possible, it is important to spend focussed time together to keep practising until the student is very confident.
