Explain the process of transcription in living cells

Transcription factors together with enzymes such as DNA topoisomerase and DNA helicase reach the gene of interest. These enzymes uncoil the DNA and revelea the two strands of DNA that are wrapped around histone molecules. These strands are then further separated by transcription factors into the coding and non-coding strand. Transcription factors recruite RNA polymerase which is localised and the transcription start site- and transcription begins. RNA polymerase synthesises the mRNA as strand by reverse complimenting the coding strand of DNA. The only exception in reverse complimentarity is the addition of Uracil (instead of Thymine), when the polymerase reads an Adenine on the DNA strand. RNA polymerase continues along the whole length of a gene and terminated when it reaches a stop codon.
