How to structure introduction for essay questions

K- Key terms: what are the key terms in the question, explain what these are and define these to show the examiner you have grasped the question and you know what it is about.

E- evaluate: introduce the argument that you are going to put forward in essay, points for and against for question 

Y- Your own opinion: finish the introduction with 'this essay seeks to highlight that...' to show examiner what you are going to be talking about.
