Who is involved in the multidisciplinary team?

This is an important question since your interviewers will want to ensure that you understand the importance of teamworking. When answering this question, it could be a good idea to base your answer around a situation you've encountered in your work experience. For example, maybe you've seen a child with cystic fibrosis at the GP. The child's care maybe coordinated by the GP, but there will also be a paediatrician involved, as well as a physiotherapist and a dietician, and maybe a cystic fibrosis Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). The physiotherapist will use techniques to effectivly clear the thick mucus in the child's lungs to help prevent infections and ease breathing, while the dietician will optimise the child's diet considering they may abosrb nutrients poorly and have an increased calorie requirement. When talking about the MDT, always always always say the patient no. 1! And you will never go wrong if you also mention the patient's family too- they are very much part of the team, and will provide valuable input.
