How can I memorise my presentation for the oral exam?

There are many different techniques so you have to find what works for you. The most important things are time and patience. One technique which I would really recommend is recording yourself reading out the text and listening to this to familiarise yourself with it. It may also help to read along as you listen. Try and use your best accent in the recording. If you're unsure about the pronunication of any of the words ask me or your teacher. Start to pause the recording and say the next sentence out loud, then play it and check if you were right. It's probably easier to learn it in paragraphs; make sure you feel confident you know the first paragraph before you move on to the second, unless you think you won't have time to learn the whole thing, but if you start early enough this shouldn't be a problem. Highlight the sentences with impressive vocabulary and structures which will help you get a higher mark and make a specific effort to learn these. When you are learning the presentation, make a list of things which always trip you up and practice these. It's also important to understand what you are saying, this will help you memorise it.
