Describe three components of the working memory model.

The working memory model is made up of the visuo-spatial sketchpad, phonological loop and central executive. The visuo-spatial sketchpad is a component which processes spatial and visual information, for example when working out where to kick a football, as this uses spatial skills. The phonological loop holds words that are either written or seen, so it is often referred to as the 'inner voice and ear'. The central executive is responsible for coordinating the other components and allocating relevant tasks to them.
