1. Find the value of the missing edge to 2 decimal places 2. Find the angle θ to 2 decimal places

The triangle is a right angled triangle with hypotaneuse y, and sides are 7 and 10. The angle θ is between the hypotaneuse and the side of length 10 (I do have a diagram) For question 1: Using Pythagoras’ Theorem you have c^2 = a^2+b^2 (would draw a diagram) Therefore, y^2 = 10^2 + 7^2 y^2 =100+49 y= √149 y = 12.21 For question 2: Using SOHCAHTOA you have the edge opposite to the angle and the edge adjacent to it, therefore you use tan(θ) = Opposite/Adjacent. Therefore, tan(θ)= 7/10 θ = inverse of tan ( 7/10) θ = 34.99 degrees

Calculate the area of a circle of diameter 8cm

How do you go about rearranging equations where the required subject appears on both sides? Such as making x the subject of 7x + a = 3x + b.

Factorise and solve: x^2 - 8x = -15

Solve the simultaneous equations: 3x + y = 15 and 4y + 3 = 9x
