Give one example of secondary research and explain 2 of its disadvantages.

Market research involves gathering data about customers, competitors and market trends.

Primary - New research/data

Secondary - Already available

As secondary research is information that is already available, an example of secondary research is government statistics.  Two possible disadvantages are: 1. The information may be out of date 2. The information may be too general and not provide enough detail.
