Solve 5x-2=3x+11

5x-2=3x+11

Move the (-2) to the right handside. As it crosses over the (-) becomes a (+)

5x=3x + (11+2)

Move the (+3x) to the left handside. As it crosses over the (-) becomes a (+)

(5x-3x)=(11+2)

Complete the maths

2x=13

Bring the 2 to the lefthand side. It is connected to the 'x' so therefore we want to divide the 13 wih the 2

x= 13/2

x= 6.5
