Define the concept of 'cultural capital'

Cultural capital is the concept developed by the Marxist socioloigst Bourdieu and refers to the attitudes, thought processes, knowledge and language skills learned in middle class homes that give middle class children an advantage over working class children in school. for example, middle class children are more likely to be members of local libraries, and have parents who take them to visit museums and art galleries, and thus they are more likely to have a general knowledge of the world and culture than working class children.
