A cone has a radius of 2 units and a height of 3 units. Devise a simplified equation to find the volume of the cone.

Vol = 1/3 pi r^2 h

r = 2n

h = 3n

Therefore

Vol = 1/3.pi.(2n)^2.3n

Vol = 1/3.pi.12n^3

Vol = 4.pi.n^3

A bag contains 5 red beads and 7 blue beads. Two beads are removed at random without replacement. Workout the probability that the two beads are the same colour.

Solve the equation p + 15 = 2(4p − 3)

Solve x^3 - 25 = 103 - x^3

If we take a number and square it, the answer is also the product of the two numbers either side of it plus one. Prove algebraically that this works for all numbers.
