what are the components of the sensory neurone

The nerve impulse starts at the dendrites, branch like structures,They then travel to the dendrons which make up the length of the neurone between the dendrites and the cell body. The cell body controls the whole cell activity.Between the cell body and the axon ending resides the axon. After the nerve impulse has travelled through the axon will enter the axon ending the last part of the neurone which has a similar structure to the dendrites. Most neurones are myelinated which increase the speed at which the nerve impulses travel, there are gaps inbetween the myelin sheath known as the nodes of ranvier.
