Solve the following system of simultaneous equations: y=x^2 - 5x + 4 ; x+2y=19

Sub y=x^2 - 5x + 4 into x+2y=19x+2(x^2 -5x + 4) = 19x + 2x^2 -10x + 8 =192x^2 - 9x -11 = 0 (2x -11)(x+1) = 0x= 5.5x=-1
