What is a personal statement?

A personal statement is your way to convey your passion for your chosen subject to your selected universities. It is roughly one side of A4 paper in length and the maximum length for your personal statement is 47 lines and 4,000 characters.
Your personal statement can include a range of activities that show your passion for your chosen subject. Think of it in the ABC model: A - Activities. What did you do? B - Better. How did this better your skills? C - Can you apply it? Can you apply it to your chosen subject? There are all sorts of things that you can include in your personal statement such as relevant work experience, independent reading, your personal reasons for choosing your course and many more.
